Life is simple when you’re racist. Explaining why Indians work in retail, black people are footballers and Jewish people are financiers is as easy as saying “it’s in their blood”. Serious sociological, statistical and economic analysis is a foreign concept in such a life. In fact, public policy is no more difficult. Just lock up black people, kick the immigrants out, keep an eye on the Jews and close the Mosques to solve the nation’s problems.
